Frequently asked questions
Ordering and Payment
What payment methods do you accept?
Through Stripe, we’re able to accept major credit and debit cards, as well as Apple and Google Pay; we also accept PayPal.
Is it safe to use my credit card on your website?
We take security seriously. We use SSL and HSTS to keep the site secure, and all payments go through secure, industry-leading payment processors: Stripe and PayPal.
We don’t collect or store your payment information.
Can I modify, cancel, or return an order?
Due to the nature of digital downloads (i.e., there being no real way to return the product), the short answer is no; once you’ve downloaded a product, we can’t issue a refund.
If you purchase something by accident and haven’t downloaded it, we will refund your purchase. Just send us an email, and we’ll be glad to help you out.
What happens after I purchase a course? How do I access it?
After completing an order, you’ll receive a unique email link to download your course. It’s yours to keep, no subscription required.
You’ll have 24hrs to download your course; if you can’t download it within that time, send us an email. We’ll be able to see it hasn’t been downloaded and can refresh your link.
Can I pre-order a course that is listed as “Coming Soon"?
No, we don’t accept pre-orders; however, if you sign up for our email list you’ll be notified when courses become available.
The Videos
What topics and skills do the videos cover?
Our courses cover a wide array of topics across multiple weapons: techniques, tactics, and strategies, as well as how to train them.
The lessons draw from both the historical records of masters and the experiences of modern coaches and competitors.
Our focus is ultimately performative: We want to help people be able to perform effectively in real-time.
How do I find the best course for me?
The best way to find the course aligned with your interest is to read the Instructor’s biographies and watch their courses’ previews.
If that’s too specific of a place to start, you can explore by category, too.
If you’re looking for recommendations, you can always ask other practitioners through our social media channels.
Who are the Instructors, and what are their qualifications?
The Instructors are some of the top coaches and competitors in the United States and abroad, with more coming soon.
Each has a brief biographical introduction, so you can decide which courses make the most sense with your goals and learning style.
What are the videos’ format, and what are the run times?
The videos are MP4s.
Run times vary by course, but they’re listed on each individual course’s page.
Do you offer closed captions or subtitles?
Not at this time, unfortunately; we’re a small team, and we’re stretched pretty thin.
That said, we want to offer closed captions and subtitles in the future to help make the courses more accessible.
Becoming an Instructor
How can I become an Instructor?
We vet every Instructor based on a number of factors, from teaching and competition experience to reputation and character; if you’d like to talk to us about being an Instructor, please reach out by email.
Please be patient: We’ll do our best to get back to you within a week, but sometimes our schedules make that difficult.
If you want to bolster your application, help us get to know you:
Describe the course you would like to teach and why you’re qualified to teach it.
Include links to your social media, if relevant.
Send a video of you teaching.
If you know a current Instructor, include them as a reference.
Thank you for your interest!
We’re excited to help this community grow and give more voices a platform.
