President of the Midwest Historical Fencing League and Principle Instructor at the Goliath Historical Fencing Academy, Reilly has taught private seminars and at major fencing events both in the United States and internationally. He uses the recital of Liechtenauer as the basis for his longsword curriculum and is known for his work interpreting Joachim Meyer’s text on the longsword and rapier. Reilly holds the Fechter rank of the Meyer Freifechter Guild in longsword, dussack, dagger and rapier.
